Metabolomic Analysis
Ask for a quoteMetabolomic Analysis

Metabolomics is an approach aimed at qualitatively and quantitatively characterizing the profile of polar metabolites (amino acids, sugars, acylcarnitines, biogenic amines, nucleotides, organic acids, etc.) in biological samples to elucidate the complex metabolic mechanisms associated with diseases, therapeutic treatments, or dietary interventions. Our services cover the entire process, from sample analysis to data processing and biological interpretation, as well as the setup of the entire experimental study, to support pharmaceutical, biochemical, and nutraceutical research.
1) Untargeted Metabolomic Analysis
Our metabolomic analysis package is applicable to various matrices, including plasma, cells, and tissues, depending on the request. It covers more than 22 metabolite classes to comprehensively explore metabolic remodeling under disease conditions, therapeutic treatments, or dietary interventions. Samples are extracted and processed using analytical techniques based on liquid chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS) and/or gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The reporting delivery time depends on the sample size. A minimum of 3-5 replicates per condition is recommended.
Results: The report will include metabolite identification through MS/MS spectral library comparison as well as comparison with authentic standards for different metabolite classes and their semi-quantification in relative concentration. Additionally, differential statistical analysis (univariate and multivariate) will be provided, as well as enrichment and pathway analysis. Upon request, data interpretation will be included to support the preparation of extended reports or assistance in writing papers or grant applications. Based on preliminary results and sample quality assessment, clients will be advised on whether to proceed or pause the analytical process to improve data quality.
2) Targeted Metabolomic Analysis
If a specific class of metabolites is of interest, absolute quantitative analysis can be performed through on-demand packages for individual metabolites or their combinations. The methodologies are based on liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) and/or gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
Results: The report will include metabolite identification through comparison with authentic standards via retention times and MS/MS spectra, along with the molar values of the metabolites of interest. Upon request, differential statistical analysis (univariate and multivariate) will be provided. If required, data interpretation can be included to support the preparation of extended reports or assistance in writing papers or grant applications.
